Known Problems and Workarounds
HP WebQoS
• Configuring IP-Based Virtual Servers
Each IP-based virtual server must be configured as an individual site in WebQoS. This
allows you to set individual SLOs/policies and maintain separate statistics for each
IP-based virtual server.
You cannot configure all IP-based virtual servers as one site in WebQoS. If you want to
control many virtual servers as one site, you should configure these virtual servers as
subservers in your web server.
• IP-Based Virtual Servers
All IP-based virtual servers must be running and each IP-based virtual server must be
configured as an individual site in WebQoS before WebQoS can be active.
• Reject and Defer Web Pages
There is only one set of reject and defer web pages available for all sites configured in
WebQoS. For example, if you have three IP-based virtual servers siteA, siteB, and siteC,
and if you customize the reject web page for siteA, then the same reject web page is used
for siteB and siteC.
• Queue Utilization Per Class Statistics
You should ignore a site’s queue utilization per class statistics if it displays over 100%
utilization.

• Adding/Deleting IP-Based Virtual Servers
IP-Based virtual servers cannot be added nor deleted dynamically. That is, you must stop
the web server before you can add or delete an additional IP-based virtual server.
• IP-Based Virtual Servers and WebQoS
All IP-based virtual servers must be running and each IP-based virtual server must be
configured as an individual site in WebQoS before WebQoS can be active.
