Announcements
HP Web Quality of Service (WebQoS) is a web-based solution that provides the quality of
service needed to maintain your web applications. Using HP WebQoS, you can configure,
administer, operate, and monitor your system and control the sessions admitted to your web
server so that it does not become overloaded. You can also configure your system to work with
Cisco LocalDirector
1
and with HP OpenView.
What’s in This Version?
WebQoS 2.2 is available on HP-UX 11.0.
The following enhancements have been made in this WebQoS 2.2 release:
• From the management user interface, you can dynamically change and connect to another
WebQoS management server (SCO system).
• HP WebQoS is integrated with BroadVision’s One-To-One Server
2
. You can use
BroadVision’s session count to keep track of the aggregate session count for a service. This
allows users who have disabled cookies on their browser to reap the benefits of WebQoS.
• You can protect your web server against denial of service attacks. HP WebQoS protects
against connections with no data.
• HP WebQoS supports both IP-based and name-based virtual servers. Each IP-based
virtual server must have a unique IP address and port number combination and can be
configured as an individual site in WebQoS. All name-based virtual servers must be
configured to one IP address and port number and then are configured as one site in
WebQoS.
