Appendix A162
Defer CLASS priority requests
This corrective action defers sessions for the priority request. The
deferred session is admitted instantly after the deferred time has
passed.
When a session is deferred, WebQoS sends the deferred session a
customized web page indicating that the web site is very busy, and
that the request will be fulfilled soon. The requestor sees a timer that
indicates when the request will be re-submitted automatically.
Refer to “Customizing the Reject and Defer Web Pages” below for
information about how to customize the Defer web page.
Customizing the Reject and Defer Web Pages
The Reject and Defer web pages can be customized by editing the
following html pages that are shipped with WebQoS:
/etc/opt/webqos/html/Defer.html
/etc/opt/webqos/html/Reject.html
You can also create a site-specific Defer page. See the following section
for detailed information about incorporating a defer timer into your
Defer page and configuring a link within the page. If you create your own
Defer page or modify any of the above pages, restart the web server for
the pages to take effect.
Creating a Defer Web Page Figure A-1 shows the default Defer page
provided with the WebQoS product. This page incorporates a defer timer
that displays the time remaining before the request is retried. You can
use this page as is or you can modify the text as needed.
