INSTALL A SOLUTION ON A DEVICE
Follow these steps to install a solution on one device. For multiple devices, see the next section.
1. Import the OXPd:Solution Installer chailet, which does not ship with HP Web Jetadmin, and the
solution's manifest file.
2. Ensure that the application, configuration, and license depots are properly configured. The
solution’s JAR files must be in the proper locations and accessible to the network.
3. Provide the device’s EWS admin password to HP Web Jetadmin.
4. Use the solution management wizard to install the solution by selecting Solution > Repository
from the left navigation menu in HP Web Jetadmin (Figure 2).

5. Click Import, click Browse, and then navigate to the location of the OXPd:SolutionInstaller
files.
6. Select the OXPd:SolutionInstaller files, and then click Import. The OXPd:SolutionInstaller is now
available in the HP Web Jetadmin Repository and can be pushed out to devices using HP Web
Jetadmin.
7. The solution manifest is a critical file that defines the solution for the OXPd:SolutionInstaller. To
import it into HP Web Jetadmin, use the same process just described for importing the
OXPd:SolutionInstaller chailet. A solution manifest has an .xml file extension.

9. After importing both the OXPd:SolutionInstaller and the solution manifest, the files are shown in
the Solution Repository (Figure 3).
