HP Web Jetadmin - Eco Solutions for HP Web Jetadmin

The collection date range defines the snapshot that is going to be taken from the Web Jetadmin data
sources. This information is required only in one time analyses (now or future) and is not relevant
when recurrence is defined. A recurring collection will always use the time period specified in the
recurrence. For example, if the user selected monthly recurrence, for each occurrence the start date
will be the last execution date, and the finish date is going to be the current date.
Note: The calculation of projected annual savings is based on the date range of available device
usage data which may be less than the date range specified in the collection. For example, if a
collection was defined for a one month period, but all the devices only had one week of data
collected, then the annual savings will be computed based on a week, rather than a month. For best
results, all devices in the collection should have Web Jetadmin device usage data collected for the
specified collection time period.
The analysis name defines the identifier for the analysis instance. Analysis names cannot be
duplicated.
Once all the sections are completed the user can proceed and click on the Accept button to save the
Analysis. If the collection was scheduled to start immediately, it will start extracting data from the
Web Jetadmin data sources.
Analyze
The Analyze tab is used to view and analyze data that has been collected in an analysis. Data is
viewed for the entire analysis or down to individual Web Jetadmin data sources and device groups.
A user can modify various factors affecting energy and paper usage to estimate and report the
potential future savings.
Click the Analyze tab (administrator and normal user access allowed). A list of all the available
analyses appears along with their creation dates, recurrence pattern, and device usage date range.
If the list is empty, then no data has been collected for analysis. Make sure the data sources have
been added on the Data Source tab, and run a collection on the Collect tab to create an analysis.
