HP Web Jetadmin - Eco Solutions for HP Web Jetadmin

Troubleshooting Data Source
Remember, the credentials entered here must match a user login that had been created for
the instance that has at minimum db_datareader rights to the HPWJA database (dbo would
be ideal).
A TCP/IP connection must be available to the HP Web Jetadmin instance for EcoSMART Fleet
to be able to connect to the database. Ensure SQL Browser is running also.
Attempt to connect to the SQL instance with the same credentials using SQL Server
Management Studio and selecting SQL Authentication. If it fails, so will EcoSMART Fleet.
Make sure the Web Jetadmin installation contains database views. Web Jetadmin 10.2 SR6
and above automatically adds data collections to database views, but a Database
Connectivity module is required for previous versions.
Check the application log file for errors. It may provide helpful clues as to why the data
source attempt is failing. The log is accessible by browsing to the same location as the
EcoSMART Fleet application, and appending “/log/EsfLog.aspx”. For example:
http://server/esf/log/EsfLog.aspx (if running on machine “server”, with virtual directory “esf”)
On the log page, specify a desired date range to query and click Get Logs. To save the log
information into a text file format, click Export Logs and specify a file name and location.
