In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will use the HP Officejet Pro UPI to manage the
HP Officejet Pro X451/X551 devices if firmware later than version 1419BR is installed.
●
In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will use the discrete plug-in to manage these
devices if firmware version 1419BR or earlier is installed.
Issue: HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 might not automatically display the new features that are included in
firmware that is later than version 1419BR if the HP Officejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Officejet Pro
X451/X551 devices are upgraded from firmware version 1419BR to a later version after HP Web
Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 is installed.
Solution: To resolve this issue, perform one of the following options:

Upgrade the firmware on the HP Officejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Officejet Pro X451/X551
devices before upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7.

If an upgrade to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 occurred before the HP Officejet Pro X476/X576 MFP
and HP Officejet Pro X451/X551 devices are upgraded to firmware later than version 1419BR, go
to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services, and then restart
HPWSProAdapter.
REMINDER: When HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR4 was released, UPIs were introduced to support the
majority of the recently released HP devices and future HP devices. This means that HP Web Jetadmin
does not have to be upgraded to a newer version to display devices that can be displayed by using any
of the UPI classes.
A UPI represents specific products by device class and contains a superset of features and capabilities.
The superset of features and capabilities might or might not apply to all of the products that the UPI
supports.
