HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 - Late Breaking News

Upgrade the firmware on the HP Officejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Officejet Pro X451/X551
devices before upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7.
If an upgrade to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 occurred before the HP Officejet Pro X476/X576 MFP
and HP Officejet Pro X451/X551 devices are upgraded to firmware later than version 1419BR, go
to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services, and then restart
HPWSProAdapter.
HP is currently investigating this issue.
4. When the serial number of a device is changed and then a full refresh or discovery is performed,
HP Web Jetadmin tries to communicate with the old serial number, even after the device is deleted from
the database. This issue will be resolved in the next release of HP Web Jetadmin.
5. The Company Name column on the Accessory Inventory report does not show the company name that
is set on the device under the Fax category. This issue will be resolved in the next release of
HP Web Jetadmin.
6. Devices that are members of at least one device group appear in the Ungrouped Devices device list. HP
is currently investigating this issue.
7. The number of devices that appear in parentheses for a data collection type does not match the number
of devices that have been added to that data collection type. HP is currently investigating this issue.
8. Issue: For group names that contain a comma (,), left bracket ([), or right bracket (]), these special
characters are not changed to underscores (_) in auto groups and filters when upgrading from HP Web
Jetadmin 10.3 SR1 and earlier to the current release.
Resolution: Upgrade to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR2, and then upgrade to current version of
HP Web Jetadmin.
Workaround: Manually edit the filters and select the correct groups. The filters might contain numbers,
such as 46f4d2cb-00e2-43e1-99, instead of the group name.
9. Issue: Templates that had the Sleep Delay (Minutes) configuration option enabled for HP FutureSmart
devices before upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR6 will no longer show the Sleep Delay (Minutes)
configuration option for these devices after the upgrade.
Background information: For HP FutureSmart devices, the Sleep Delay (Minutes) configuration option
was renamed to Sleep Timer Settings.
Solution: Edit all of the templates for HP FutureSmart devices that include the Sleep Delay (Minutes)
configuration option, and configure the setting for the Sleep Timer Settings configuration option. A
script is available that will identify all of the aff
ected templates.
To obtain the script and for more
information, contact HP technical support.
After you run the script, open the CorrectedTemplates.txt log file. If there are any templates listed
under 'Sleep Delay(minutes)' templates (Needs attention), edit those templates. If the Settings Not
Application dialog appears after clicking the Next button in the Edit Device Configuration Template
wizard, go to the Sleep Timer Settings configuration option and set the values that are required for
your environment.
This issue with the templates occurs only when customers upgrade from HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR5
and earlier to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR6 and later. Customers must edit any existing templates that
include this configuration option.
This issue has been addressed in HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7.
