Connecting the Cables
The following procedures describe how to connect the
cables on your HP VPN Server Appliance SA3110.
Note: After you complete the following cable
connections, refer to the Hardware Installation Map for
more information on configuring the HP VPN Server
Appliance SA3110 hardware.
Power Cable Connection
1. Remove the power cable from its packaging.
2.
Ensure that the power switch on the back panel of the
HP VPN Server Appliance SA3110 is in the OFF (0)
position.
3.
Connect the power cable to the cord socket connector
on the back panel of the chassis.
4.
Connect the power cable to a power source.
10BaseT or 100BaseTX Ethernet
Connections
To connect your 10BaseT or 100BaseTX (Category 5 or
better, twisted pair cable) Ethernet connections:
1.
Plug the RJ-45 Ethernet cable supplied with your
system to the sockets on the HP VPN Server Appliance
SA3110.
2.
Plug your Ethernet cable into the end of the short
ferrite beaded cable supplied.
