Introduction
The VMA-series Memory Arrays (VMA) are external solid state Flash memory storage arrays. VMA
arrays provide scalable solid state capacities with higher performance and more reliability than
traditional magnetic media.
Features
The VMA provides:
Scalable capacity, 5TB and 10TB models
PCIe Direct Connectivity for in-system bandwidth and performance
Up to 240K sustained random write IOPS (4K block with RAID)
350K random read IOPS
These release notes include information on the following VMA-series Memory Array products with
PCIe-direct connection option:
VMA3205
VMA3210

HP Supported Configurations
While other configurations of the VMA-series array may be possible, only the following configurations
have been fully tested and are supported by HP at the time of this document. If you are using a
configuration not listed below as a supported configuration, you may be asked to reconfigure your
environment to comply with a supported configuration for HP support entitlement.
For Direct Connect of the VMA-series Memory Arrays, a single PCIe direct connection to a ProLiant
DL980 or DL580 G7 server is supported when running one of the following operating environments:
