Description
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM) version 7.1.1 centralizes network connection
management and workload mobility for HP BladeSystem servers that use Virtual Connect (VC) to
access local area networks (LANs), storage area networks (SANs), and converged network
environments. VCEM helps organizations increase productivity, respond faster to workload and
infrastructure changes, and reduce operating costs.
Update recommendation
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.1.1 includes new enhancements and features.
Updating to HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.1.1 is recommended.
Supersedes
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.1.1 supersedes HP Virtual Connect Enterprise
Manager version 7.1.

Enhancements
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.1.1 adds new features including:
• Displaying direct attach fabric types in VC Domain and VC Domain Group details
• Viewing Ethernet SNMP access
• Viewing VC Domain and VC Domain Group statistics-throughput configuration information
• Displaying factory default MAC and WWN addresses
• Support for VC firmware 3.7x features including the HP VC Flex-10/10D module

Fixes
The primary objective of this release is to support the latest HP hardware platforms, support the
latest revisions of already supported operating systems and hypervisors, and to fix software issues.
This release offers improvements in the following areas:
• Improved performance when setting the network configuration on server profiles using Internet
Explorer
• Enhanced error messages when trying to manage a VC Domain that requires the SSL certificate
to be imported into HP-SIM.
• Addressed the sorting problem in the VC Domain selection box to filter Server Profiles by VC
Domain.
• VCEM now displays an alert when an unsupported browser is detected.
• Removed the VC Domain configuration to be propagated to the other VC Domains from the
VC Domain Group step when completing VC Domain Maintenance and no modifications
were made on the VC Domain configuration.
