1. Copy the license key acquired in the preceding section into the “Enter License” field in the
License GUI as shown below. Adding the key to the field activates the Add button.

2. To activate the license, click on the Add button shown in Figure 60 (page 60). The active
license is now displayed in the table below the Install ID and the “Enter License” field and
Add button are greyed out:

3.6 Managing Licenses
3.6.1 Transferring licenses
You can transfer a license from one controller to another. To do so, you must first uninstall all
licenses from the controller.
NOTE: License transfer is an “all licenses” or “no licenses” process. Keeping a license on one
controller while transferring one or more other licenses from the same controller to another controller
is not permitted.
Before you transfer licenses
Before you transfer licenses, you must first:
• Uninstall all licenses, as described in “Uninstalling licenses to prepare for transfer”.
• Obtain an Install ID for each destination controller, as described in “Identifying the Install ID”.
