NOTE: In a teamed environment, the audit log shows events for all controllers in the team.
As long as the trim.enabled key is set to true (the default), Audit Log maintenance is automatically
managed as a background task to periodically remove audit log entries according to the
trim.auditlog.age policy. Removed entries are permanently deleted from the system.
2.5.3 Archiving Audit Log Data Outside of the Controller
To archive the Audit Log data beyond the age-out policy, use the REST API prior to the log age-out
date to export the Audit Log data out of the controller. For example, you can use the the cURL
command at “Export audit log data as a CSV file” (page 111)to export the audit log content.
Exporting Audit Log data does not remove it from persistent storage.
2.6 Licenses
The Licenses function displays the license Install ID, activates new licenses, and deactivates installed
licenses (for transfer to another installation).
