Introduction
This document provides installation support for customers installing AVIO B.11.31.1211 web release and guidelines for
migrating from AVIO B.11.31.1211 or B.11.31.1211.01 to vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 and V6.1.5.
Problem statement
Installing WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) AVIO bundles on a system running vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 or V6.1.5 will result in the
the AVIO products getting replaced with B.11.31.1211 version and this would result in an unsupported software
configuration on the VSP.
NOTE: The above issue is not applicable for the AVIO WEB1310 (B.11.31.1211.01) products.
Upgrading to vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 or vPars and Integrity V6.1.5 from Integrity VM V4.x or HP-UX Virtual
Partitions V6.0 with AVIO WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) or AVIO WEB1310 (B.11.31.1211.01) fails without any
WARNING or ERROR messages and the AVIO WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) products will be retained on the VSP.
This would result in an unsupported software configuration on the VSP.”
Problem description
Installing AVIO B.11.31.1211 web release on vPars and Integrity VM 6.1 or 6.1.5
The WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) AVIO products are supported only on systems running with HP-UX Integrity VM V4.x or HP-UX
Virtual Partitions V6.0. From V6.1 and later versions, AVIO products are included in the BB068AA and VirtualBase bundles.
The revision number B.11.31.1211 is higher than the revision number of the AVIO products released with vPars and Integrity
VM V6.1 (B.11.31.1203) and V6.1.5 (B.11.31.1209). Hence the WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) AVIO products can be installed on
system running with vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 and V6.1.5 without any WARNING or ERROR message. The installation will
result in silent replacement of the B.11.31.1203 (vPar and Integrity VM 6.1) or B.11.31.1209 (vPar and Integrity VM 6.1.5)
version of AVIO products with the B.11.31.1211 (WEB1211) version. This would result in an unsupported software
configuration on the VSP.
