Technical white paper | Product, solution, or service Introduction This document provides installation support for customers installing AVIO B.11.31.1211 web release and guidelines for migrating from AVIO B.11.31.1211 or B.11.31.1211.01 to vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 and V6.1.5. Problem statement Installing WEB1211 (B.11.31.1211) AVIO bundles on a system running vPars and Integrity VM V6.1 or V6.1.5 will result in the the AVIO products getting replaced with B.11.31.

Example, # swinstall -x autoreboot=true –x allow_downdate=true –x reinstall=true -s my.server.foo.com:/ BB068AA VirtualBase Step 3: Verify the installation by running swverify commands. # swverify BB068AA VirtualBase Please ensure that swverify doesn’t report any errors. Step4: Verify the contents of BB068AA and VirtualBase.

Technical white paper | Product, solution, or service Step 1: Upgrade the OE on the VSP but skip the vPars and Integrity VM bundles VirtualBase and BB068AA. To do so, use the following command (use “!” to skip the bundles): # update-ux -s /dev/dvd !BB068AA !VirtualBase Step 2: After successful OE upgrade, the BB068AA and VirtualBase bundles will not be installed. To verify, use the swlist command.

Technical white paper | Product, solution, or service Recommendations If you have installed Integrity VM V4.3 + AVIO B.11.31.1211 or B.11.31.1211.01 products and want to upgrade to vPars and Integrity VM 6.x versions, HP strongly recommends upgrading to vPars and Integrity VM V6.2 or later version. Upgrading to vPars and Integrity VM V6.2 version will not report any issues mentioned in problem statement. But, if you have a requirement to upgrade specifically to versions V6.1 or V6.1.
