3. Shutdown the guests and update (or cold migrate) the OS, Integrity VM and Serviceguard software
on the host. (Note that if the cluster is already running Serviceguard 11.18, no update to the
Serviceguard software will be required). Refer to the Cold Migration Steps and/or Update Steps
sections above.
4. Check the ITRC and install any relevant patches.
5. Restart the guests and install the Integrity VM 4.0 guest kit on all of them.
6. Move the package(s) back to those guests that are cluster nodes on this host.
7. Repeat steps 1 – 6 for the remaining cluster nodes (guests) and their hosts.
Final Preparations for Production Mode
At this point, HP recommends that you make new recovery images. Also, once the guests are
reactivated, reactivate tools such as Serviceguard and gWLM before users are allowed on the system.
