HP vPars and Integrity Virtual Machines V6.1 Release Notes

Table 2 Known behaviors in vPars V6.1 (continued)
Description/ActionProblem
If a vPar was created with a vswitch based on a VLAN,
and that VLAN has been removed, it is not possible to
modify or remove a vNIC connected to that vswitch.
What to do
Recreate the VLAN with nwmgr and restart the vswitch.
This will allow you to remove the vNIC using the
vparmodify command.
Cannot remove a VLAN-based vNIC if the VLAN has been
removed
If the base page size is changed to value other than 4K,
the output value corresponding to 4K is the value for the
new base page size. This is true for further displayed page
sizes i.e. 8K, 16K, 64K, and so on.
Example 1 When base page size = 4K
...
149003 Page Select Size Successes for Page
size 4K
139682 Page Select Size Successes for Page
size 8K
494477 Page Select Size Successes for Page
size 16K ...
Example 2 When base page size = 64K
...
28 Page Select Size Successes for Page size
4K
67 Page Select Size Successes for Page size
16K
14 Page Select Size Successes for Page size
64K
2 Page Select Size Successes for Page size
256K ...
In the example for base page size 64, the value 28 actually
refers to the page size 64K, 67 refers to the page size
256K, and so on.
What to do
There is no workaround.
Because the base page size of VSP is set to 64K, the
vmstat command might show incorrect results
