MP instance provider Retrieves information about the management processor of the system.

What is new in this version • A new event #2 has been added to the MCA reported by an HPVM vPar server to distinguish the MCA between host and vPar guest. • SFM is enhanced to support Intel Itanium 9500 Processor Series. • SFM is enhanced to display hardware paths of the CPUs allocated to the guests of HP-UX Virtual Partitions 6.x. while enumerating the HP_Processor class. • The database for error and event repository is upgraded to Postgres 8.4.8 for HP9000 and HP Integrity servers.

Problem: When you run CIMUtil -e root/cimv2 HP_Fan command, no fans are displayed although the fans are available on HP Integrity rx2800 i2 systems. Resolution: This problem is fixed. • QXCR1001189057 SFM manpages still shows the sfmconfig -r option of disk refresh. Problem: The sfmconfig -r option is described in the manpage although the disk has been removed from SFM. Resolution: This problem is fixed. • QXCR1001204267 Temporary files owned by sfmdb are left in /var/tmp.

Users can select one or more destination from the following list: • ◦ Event archive: The path of Event archive is /var/opt/sfmdb/pgsql for PA-RISC and /var/opt/psb/db/pgsql/ for Itanium. Event archive is the default destination. ◦ Email: Event notification will be emailed to the specified email address. Users can specify multiple email addresses. ◦ syslog: The path to syslog is /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.

Resolution: This problem is fixed. This change has been made in evweb subscribe option in order to comply with the functionality as stated in the man page. Limitations • When an HP-advised subscription is copied to create or modify another subscription, the subscription criteria is not copied. However, only destinations are copied to the new subscription.

Following is a limitation of EMT: • When you make a generic query to the CER, a huge amount of data is retrieved from the CER. However, this behavior may affect the performance of EMT.

Workaround: Follow the steps given below before upgrading SFM to C.07.01.06.01 version. ◦ Disable SFMProviderModule using the following command: # cimprovider -dm SFMProviderModule • Problem: IPMI FRU calls fail when a blade with Monarch Management Processor is inserted into a different slot.

that the POSIX shell is used to execute commands in the crontab file. If the login shell is set to /usr/bin/sh in the /etc/passwd file, this error is not logged. Workaround: You can safely ignore both these warning messages. • Problem: If database connection times-out during a transaction, the transaction model is broken.

Product structure The SFM product, consisting of SFM providers and EVWEB, is installed as part of the SysFaultMgmt bundle. Following are the commands you must use to obtain the bundle, product, sub-product, and the fileset information about the SysFaultMgmt depot.
