SFM Release Notes for HP-UX 11i v3 March 2011

Problem: SFM monitoring mode can be switched to SFM mode on non-ipmi systems. EMS is
the only supported mode on non-impi systems.
Resolution: This problem is fixed.

Blades.
Problem: Operational status is informative on HP Integrity BL860c i2, BL870c i2 & BL890c
i2 Server Blades. All subcomponent status values are OK. This breaks follow-the-red for SIM
and SMH.
Resolution: This problem is fixed.

sfmconfig -a -L reports exception when no disks are attached.
Problem: Information on directly attached disks cannot be retrieved. The provider is not
reporting or monitoring any disks.
Resolution: This problem is fixed.
• QXCR1001055479
SLVIEW displays incorrect details for the events E0 or E1 log with timestamp.
Problem: For E0 or E1 event both in CLI or GUI displays incorrect information if the record
specifies that the next record is a TIMESTAMP for it.
CLI command: slview -d -v -XX
GUI: Click one row of events list on SMH/Tools >> IPMI Event Viewer >> Event Viewer
Resolution: This problem is fixed.
• QXCR1001049545
EVWEB subscriptions should set archive as a default handler when destination is not specified
Problem: When a subscription is created without any destination specified, then the subscription
does not have any handler, which is inappropriate. Hence, when destination is not specified,
EVWEB should set archive as a default handler.
Resolution: This problem is fixed.
