Table 1 lists the SFM providers, and their respective functions (continued) Providers Functions MP Instance Provider Retrieves information about the management processor of the system. Enclosure Instance Provider Retrieves information about the Onboard Administrator (OA), such as OA description, OA IP address, OA MAC address, and the URL to launch the OA.

• SFM is enhanced to send a separate DPR event for each deactivated core. • sfmconfig -w -e/s is enhanced to display proper messages during switch modes (for example, from root user to non-root user environment) • Improved navigation in FPL events page with cross-links for related pages.

The following EMS Hardware Monitors are supported on HP Integrity servers running the HP-UX 11i v3 operating system: • Corrected Platform Error Monitor (cpe_em) • IPMI Forward Progress Log Monitor (fpl_em) • CMC Monitor (cmc_em) • Itanium Core Hardware Monitor(ia64_corehw) • Itanium Memory Monitor (memory_ia64) NOTE: All of EMS Hardware Monitors are not supported by EMS Wrapper Provider included in SFM product.

Problem: SFM monitoring mode can be switched to SFM mode on non-ipmi systems. EMS is the only supported mode on non-impi systems. Resolution: This problem is fixed. • QXCR1001037586 Missing or Poor diagnostics in sfmconfig. Problem: When the sfmconfig -t -a command is used, an error "unable to open config file" is displayed. Resolution: This problem is fixed. • QXCR1001062661 11.11 A.04.02.01.05 SFM uses 100% CPU. Problem: SFM uses 100% of CPU in non-ipmi machines. Resolution: This problem is fixed.

• QXCR1001046309 Unexpected observations are observed related to destination in EVWEB subscriptions Problem: Multiple destinations encounters unexpected errors during EVWEB subscriptions while using –r specifies multiple destination. Resolution: This problem is fixed.

• QXCR1001048071 HP SMH displays incorrect total memory available information on HP Superdome 2. Problem: On HP Superdome 2 systems, the total available memory displays 628MB whereas, the total memory available to the partition is 30GB. Resolution: This problem is fixed. • QXCR1001088387 The event details are missing for “SEL02_IndicationProvider” events in evweb. Problem: The event details are missing for all the "SEL02_IndicationProvider" events. Resolution: This problem is fixed.

Features EVWEB offers the following features: • Provides both quick search and advanced search mechanisms to view events from the Event Archive. • Provides both simple and advanced search mechanism to search for low level logs from the Log Viewer. • Generates a list of events in a printer-friendly format (GUI only). • Enables users with administrative privileges to create, modify, and delete indications.

NOTE: EMT supports these features on browser-based GUI and the CLI.

Subsequent versions are compatible with this version of SFM unless otherwise noted. • WBEM Services, Online Diagnostics, SysMgmtWeb, and HP SIM are available on the Operating Environment (OE) media and can be selected for install during the SFM installation. • HP System Management Homepage (SMH) – bundled in SysMgmtWeb.

HP_Blade or the blade property page on HP SMH does not reflect the correct set of blades on the system. Workaround: This problem has the following two workarounds: 1. Use the Onboard Administrator to determine the total number of blades on the system. 2. Disable SFMProviderModule using the cimprovider -dm SFMProviderModule command. Run mv /var/opt/sfm/data/sdrcache /tmp/sdrcache command to move the sdrcache file and enable SFMProviderModule cimprovider -em SFMProviderModule • Problem: CIM_AlertIndication.
