Refer the following sections for more information on HP-UX and ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) or
commonly referred as Provider Service Base, as products and their support policies.
Support policies for HP-UX

Support policies for ProviderSvcsBase (PSB)
Following are the user specific reference notes for currently supported and older versions of
ProviderSvcsBase (PSB).
• ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) product is adhering to HP-UX support policy.
• ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) releases the new product version through Operating Environment
(OE) or Application Release (AR) media or WBEMMgmtBundle.
• During the time frame of HP-UX support period, ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) is supported as
per the following format.

HP-UX 11i v3:
Three years, from the date of its release are supported.
TIP: You can refer “For HP-UX 11i v3” (page 7) for more details.

HP-UX 11i v2
and
HP-UX 11i v1:
Not applicable
NOTE: ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) is not released in HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v1
versions. It is supported only in HP-UX 11i v3 version.
◦ The exact end of support (EOS) date for the month indicated in the support matrix is the
end of each mentioned month.

NOTE:
• ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) depot is not having any dependency requirements with
OnlineDiag and is an independent product. The following “Support policies for OnlineDiag”
(page 6) are applicable, if OnlineDiag is already installed along with ProviderSvcsBase
(PSB) depot.
• Even if currently installed ProviderSvcsBase (PSB) version is supported, correspondingly
installed version of OnlineDiag may or may not be supported.
• The values denoted by xx and yy in the tables throughout this document are for internal use
only.
