Cover Letter – Diagnostics Area
HP is pleased to introduce a new organizational structure for the Diagnostics and
Monitoring Tools Area. Please note the following improvements.
• Addition of a new Diagnostics Overview Guide to all diagnostic tools.
• Consolidation of many documents into two comprehensive Administrator’s and
User’s Guides for:
o Offline Diagnostics
o OnlineDiag (includes EMS and STM)
• Consolidation of information for all Offline Diagnostics tools into one area under
the heading Offline Diagnostics.
• Consolidation of information for all Online Diagnostics tools into one area under
the heading Online Diagnostics. Subtopics under Online Diagnostics are:
o SysFaultMgmt – System Fault Management (SFM)
o OnlineDiag - EMS Hardware Monitors and Support Tools Manager
(STM)
o Event Information Tools
o Online Diagnostics for MPE/ix Systems
This new structure will:
• Facilitate locating the information you need to find quickly
• Facilitate maintenance of the documentation set
