Benefits of Using WBEM-Based Hardware Diagnostics Solution
HP SIM offers a unified infrastructure management solution and provides a rich set of system
hardware management features. The WBEM-based hardware diagnostics solution integrates
seamlessly with HP SIM. This integration results in ease-of-use and simplified hardware management.
Also, the WBEM-based hardware diagnostics solution provides reliable and sophisticated hardware
monitoring capabilities similar to that of the traditional EMS & STM based hardware diagnostics
solution.
The WBEM indications generated by SFM and other WBEM providers are equivalent to the
respective EMS events. SFM contains the user interfaces (both CLI and GUI) in HP SMH that provide
inventory and health information, and event configuration. It also provides a drill-down interface
for SFM to implement the follow-the-red strategy using which you can identify the origin of a problem
