a cluster volume group in the Serviceguard cluster configuration after creating the cluster volume group
in Disks and File Systems.
• Issue: An error occurs when a volume group is created using HP SMH.
Description: In the Disks and File Systems application, after filling the mandatory fields in the Create
Volume Group page, the following error message is displayed - Pvcreate :Bad input parameter.
This problem is currently noticed on HP-UX 11i v3 (11.31): FSWeb B.11.31.13 and HP SMH 3.2.2.
Workaround: You can force create the VG by selecting the Force physical volume creation option, and
create the physical volumes without any validation.
• Issue: HP SMH displays physical volumes (PVs) that are already a part of an inactive volume group
(VG) as unused.
Description: In the Disks and File Systems application, during the creation of VGs, PVs that are already
a part of inactive/deactivated VGs are shown as unused. This problem is currently noticed on HP-UX
11i v3 (11.31): FSWeb B.11.31.13 and HP SMH 3.2.2.
Workaround: The following warning message is displayed - Existing Data Found on Device.
This message helps the user to discontinue creating and overwriting the used VG.
