Overview
SysMgmtPlus contains functionality that enhances HP System Management Homepage (HP SMH) property page display capabilities.
SysMgmtPlus enables HP SMH to display enhanced property pages that contain dynamic content, allowing the user to view/hide details of
devices and firmware. SysMgmtPlus greatly increases the speed of certain page updates.
Requirements
SysMgmtPlus only supports HP System Management Home Page 3.0 (SysMgmtWeb revision A.3.x.x) or later.
What Is New in This Version
Starting with the September 2009 release, the Health Test feature is introduced. This feature is available, only when the ProviderSvcsBase
product is installed. For information on installing Health Test feature, see ProviderSvcsBase Release Notes at
http://www.hp.com/go/hpux-
diagnostics-docs
A new status filter feature is added that can suppress reporting status from devices that are selected by the user. When a user sets this
status filter on a specific device, status information of this device is not included in the higher level view on the home page or in the
consolidated status reported to external products like HP SIM. Currently, this feature is only implemented for the Network Information
page.
A new command line interface
/opt/propplus/bin/cprop provides information and functionality equivalent to what is available on the
Property pages of HP SMH.
Known Problems and Workarounds
If SysMgmtPlus is installed independently after installing HP SMH, HP SMH must be restarted. (HP SMH will restart automatically after
terminating, and it will terminate automatically if no SMH connections are present for a period of time (default 30 minutes)).
To stop HP SMH, enter the following commands at the HP-UX prompt:
#/opt/hpsmh/lbin/hpsmh stop
To start HP SMH, enter the following commands at the HP-UX prompt:
#/opt/hpsmh/lbin/hpsmh autostart or just access SMH from browser & it will automatically restart.
