How do you install SWA?
Once a depot containing SWA is downloaded or mounted to the system, installation can be
performed using the command
# swinstall –s <full-path-to-depot> SwAssistant
If the SWA installation fails, review the messages found in /var/adm/sw/swagent.log.
How do you install SWA for use with HP SIM?
The standard installation includes configuring SWA within HP SIM, if it is present. Under some
circumstances, the script /opt/swa/lbin/configHPSIM might need to be run to complete
installation.
What are SWA’s dependencies?
SWA requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) be installed. This dependency can be met by
any of:
• Jre15.JRE15 revision 1.5.0.02.01 or later
• Jre60.JRE60 revision 1.6.0.00.00 or later
• Jre70. JRE70 revision 1.7.0.01.00 or later
When installed on HP-UX 11i v1 (11.11), the patch PHSS_22898, or subsequent, is also required.
