SoftBench 6.90 Release Notes

• CacheFS
SoftBench 6.X does not support CacheFS (provided with the Networking Enhancements
Release for HP-UX 10.20 [April 1998]).
Installation Problems
This section discusses the problems faced on installating SoftBench:
• Removal of SoftBench 5.X
If you install SoftBench 6.X, SoftBench 5.X is removed from your system. To restore
SoftBench 5.X, perform the following steps:
1. Remove SoftBench 6.X.
2. Reinstall Softbench 5.X.
3. Install SoftBench 5.X patch, if any.
NOTE If you have removed your Softbench 5.X licenses, you need to reinstall
them.
4. Execute the following command:
mv /opt/softbench/config.5x /opt/softbench/config
If you had made any SoftBench customization to your system, this command restores
them. In addition, this command prepares your system for a future version of
SoftBench.
• Problem while Upgrading from SoftBench 5.25 to SoftBench 6.90
If you have the SoftBench 5.25 cumulative patch, PHSS_15632, installed on your system,
warning and error messages may be displayed when you upgrade your system to
Softbench 6.90.
The warning and error messages are displayed when this patch is automatically removed
during the SoftBench 6.90 update. The warning and error messages can be safely ignored.
