Organization of This Guide
This guide is organized as follows:
Chapter 1, “Installation Requirements.”
Lists the software and hardware requirements for each
SNAplus2 product, and the knowledge required by the
system administrator who is installing the products.
Chapter 2, “Installing SNAplus2.”
Provides instructions for installing the SNAplus2
software.
Chapter 3, “Verifying the SAM SNAplus2 Installation Process.”
Lets you verify the files that should be on your system,
tells you how to build the kernel manually, if necessary,
and how to check the status of SNAplus2.
Chapter 4, “The terminfo Database.”
Lets you determine whether you must change any
information in the terminfo database. This chapter
lists the functions that must be supported by HP-UX
terminals used with SNAplus2 3270 programs and the
terminfo database items that refer to them.
Chapter 5, “Installing SNAplus2 Client Software on Windows Clients.”
Provides instructions for installing Windows client
software on PCs.
Chapter 6, “Online Addition/Replacement (OLAR) of PCI Cards.”
Gives an overview of the procedure for adding or
replacing PCI cards without shutting down or
rebooting your system.
Appendix A, “Tunable System Parameters.”
Lists system parameters controlling access to shared
memory and semaphores, which you may need to
change to suit your SNAplus2 configuration.
Appendix B, “Restricting User Access.”
Discusses how to restrict access to SNAplus2 functions.
