Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
The following section lists the hardware and software requirements for the HP SNAplus2EE
Link product. For the hardware and software requirements for SNAplus2 User Applications,
refer to the HP-UX SNAplus2 Installation Guide, available at:

Hardware Requirements
HP SNAplus2EE Link requires the following hardware:
• 60 MB of disk space
• A physical link to the SNA remote system, such as a pair of compatible modems, a modem
eliminator, or a LAN connection.
• A PSI card and available slot if using SDLC.
NOTE For workstations, an EISA PSI upgrade kit might also be needed.
• A 2-port PCI PSI card (J3525A) and available slot if using PCI SDLC.
Note that it is supported on the following systems:
— HP 9000 servers rp8400, rp7410, A-class (rp24xx), L-class (rp54xx), N-class (rp74xx),
V-class, HP 9000 SuperDome, B, C, J class workstations.
• J2794A is an EISA PSI card, and is supported on D and R class
• J2792A is a NIO PSI card and is supported on K-class
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link in a client/server environment requires additional LAN/9000
Link hardware components for servers or workstations, including the LAN interface card.
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link using QLLC requires X.25 (J3525A) hardware.
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link using Token Ring (A5783A), 802.3/Ethernet, or FDDI
(A3739A) requires hardware for each link type.
HP 9000 Software
This version of HP SNAplus2EE Link requires the HP-UX 11i operating system and the
Support Plus Software bundle.
