Announcement This version of SNAplus2 (R7.11.23.200) is supported on systems running HP-UX 11i v2 operating system. 6 HP-UX SNAplus2 R7.11.23.
What's in This Version This version of SNAplus2 (R7.11.23.200), referred to in this document as SNAplus2 R7 is supported on the 11iv2 operating system. SNAplus2 R7 introduces the following feature: • R7 SNAplus2 RJE Enhancement: This enhancement enables the conversion of Intermediate Record Separator (IRS EBCDIC x'1E') to NewLine (ASCII x'15') while receiving PUNCH data. Features Not Supported in This Release • • Support for NIO and EISA SDLC drivers is no longer available on HP-UX 11iv2.
Known Problems and Workarounds The following are known problems in this version: • Coexistence problems between SNAplus2 Release 7.x and SNAplus2 Release 5.x may occur in a mixed Client/Server environment because SNAplus2 Release 5.x servers do not support Release 7.x systems. If you are running an SNAplus2 Release 5.x Client/Server environment, and you install a new system with SNAplus2 Release 7.x software, you must upgrade all of the SNAplus2 Release 5 systems to SNAplus2 R7.

To load the product files into the appropriate directories on your system, use the /usr/sbin/ swinstall program. For specific instructions on using swinstall, refer to the HP Software Distribution Utilities (SD) User’s Guide. To add the SNAplus2 Environment and Link components, run the SAM SNAplus2 Installation Program on the SAM “Networking and Communications” screen.
