Installing SNAplus2 Client Software on Windows Clients

Overview
The SNAplus2 Windows client software enables a PC to run SNA
applications without having a complete SNA stack installation on the
PC. A Windows client PC can connect to one or more SNAplus2 servers
using a TCP/IP network.
The interfaces provided by the SNAplus2 Windows client software are
compatible with those provided by the Microsoft SNA Server for
Windows NT product. Therefore, many applications can be used with
SNAplus2 Windows client software, including:
• Attachmate Extra Personal Client Version 6.2 (3270 emulator)
• Netsoft Dynacomm Elite
• Eicon Access
• Walldata Rumba
For a complete list of compatible applications, refer to the Microsoft SNA
Server web site.
The APPC, CPI-C, LUA, and CSV APIs are also available to Windows
clients. Refer to the appropriate programmer's reference guide for more
information about these APIs.
Win32 Clients
The following Windows client software is provided with SNAplus2:
Win32 Client This software can be installed only on Windows
versions NT, 2000, 98, and 95, and is the recommended
Windows client software for these versions of Windows.
