HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G Hardware and
Software Requirements
This section describes the HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G hardware and
software requirements for your HP 9000. This product is supported on
HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2.
HP 9000 Hardware Requirements supported on
HP-UX 11i v1
HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G requires the following HP 9000 hardware:
• HP 9000 servers rp8400, rp7410, A-class (rp24xx), L-class (rp54xx),
N-class (rp74xx), K-class, V-class, D-class, R-class, HP 9000
SuperDome, B, C, J class workstations.
HP 9000 Software Requirements supported on HP-UX
11i v1
HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G requires the following HP 9000 software:
• HP-UX 11i operating system and the Support Plus Software bundle.
Running HP SNAplus2EE 3270/3179G in a client/server environment
requires additional LAN/9000 Link software components for servers and
workstations.
Running HP SNAplus2EE 3270/3179G using QLLC requires X.25
(J2793A) software.
Running HP SNAplus2EE 3270/3179G using Token Ring,
802.3/Ethernet, or FDDI requires software for each link type.
HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers Hardware
Requirements supported on HP-UX 11i v2
HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G requires the following HP 9000 hardware:
• HP 9000 servers rp8400, rp7410, rp34x0, rp4440, A-class (rp2400),
L-class (rp5400), N-class (rp7400), HP 9000 Superdome and Integrity
Servers rx2600, rx4640, IPF Superdome, rx56xx, rx8620.
