Before You Begin
HP-UX SNAplus2 Administration Command Reference contains information about starting and managing the
SNAplus2 software. SNAplus2 is a software product that enables a server running HP-UX to exchange information
with other nodes on an SNA network.
This book applies to Release 7 of SNAplus2. Token Ring and FDDI adapters are not supported on HP-UX 11i v3.
Prerequisite Knowledge
Before reading this manual, you should have a knowledge of SNA and APPN concepts. See the Related publications
section for details of manuals that provide this information.

Organization of This Book
This book is organized as follows:
Chapter 1, Introduction to SNAplus2 Administration Commands, provides an overview of the tasks involved
in administering SNAplus2, provides an overview of how to use the
snapadmin administration program, and
describes characteristics (such as parameter type) that are common to parameters used by all commands.
Chapter 2, Administration Commands, provides detailed information about the parameters required for specic
administration operations such as dening, starting, or querying a particular resource.
Appendix A, Common Return Codes from snapadmin Commands, lists error return codes that are common to
all commands.
Appendix B, Conguration Files, describes the contents of the data les that control how SNAplus2 operates
and explains how to modify these les if required.
Appendix C, Environment Variables, provides a brief summary of all the environment variables that are used by
SNAplus2 programs.
