Verifying your Installation
Chapter 3 33
Verifying your Installation
Before you follow the steps in this chapter, check the following:
If you are using a QLLC link, make sure that X.25 is installed and
configured into your system.
If you are using Ethernet make sure that this link type is installed
and configured into your system.
If you are configuring SDLC links, make sure that PSI cards are
installed (for PCI SDLC, you need a PCI card (J2535A)).
Under most circumstances, the kernel is generated automatically when
SNAplus2 installation is performed in SMH. If this does not happen,
check the following:
Step 1. Run /usr/sbin/swverify and investigate any errors.
Step 2. Use the /usr/sbin/swlist command to check that you have installed
all the SNAplus2 products.
Step 3. Save a copy of the system file you will be modifying (usually
/stand/system).
Step 4. Verify that the following statements are included in the system file
(default is /stand/system). Use the kcmodule command for each of the
drivers as follows:
kcmodule -
v modulename
V
erify that the State field is static for each of the configured drivers.
