Running SMH SNAplus2 Installation
SMH SNAplus2 Installation is a program used to add the SNAplus2
environment and link components to an HP-UX 11i v3 and later system.
It has a SMH-based GUI that is part of SMH and works with other SMH
common routines. This program allows you to add, modify and remove
the SNAplus2 Environment and all of the link components using only
three primary screens.
NOTE System Administration Manager (SAM) is deprecated in the
HP-UX 11i v3 release. HP System Management Homepage (HP SMH),
an enhanced version of SAM, is introduced for managing HP-UX. HP
recommends that you use SMH to install your SNAplus2 environment.
Prerequisites
Before you install the SNAplus2 environment, you must have installed
the following on your HP 9000 or Integrity server:
• HP-UX operating system
• X.25 software(J2793A) if you are installing QLLC
• 100 Base-T, 1000 Base-T or 10 Gigabit Ethernet software if you are
installing SNAplus2 over Ethernet
• ASX if you are installing Native Language Support
In a client/server environment, you will also need the following:
• the name of the Master Server (the server that holds the master
copy of the domain configuration file) if the machine is to be a server.
• the name of the Domain where the current system resides
