HP SNAplus2 Link Hardware and Software Requirements

HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers Hardware
Requirements on 11i v3
HP SNAplus2 Link requires the following HP 9000 hardware:
• HP 9000 servers rp(8400), rp(8420), rp(7420), rp(7410), rp(7405),
rp(4440), rp(4410), rp(3440), rp(3410), HP 9000 Superdome, and HP
Integrity servers rx(8640), rx(8620), rx(7640), rx(7620), rx(5670),
rx(4640), rx(3600), rx(6600), rx(2600), rx(2620), rx(1600), rx(1620),
cx(2600).
• 18.9 MB of disk space
• A physical link to the SNA remote system, such as a pair of
compatible modems, a modem eliminator, or a LAN connection.
• A PCI card and available slot if using PCI SDLC (card number:
J3525A).
Running HP SNAplus2 Link in a client/server environment requires
additional LAN/9000 Link hardware components for servers including
the LAN interface card.
Running HP SNAplus2 Link using 802.3/Ethernet requires hardware for
each link type.

Requirements on 11i v3
To run on HP-UX 11i v3, the HP SNAplus2 Link requires the HP-UX
operating system 11i v3 to be installed.
Running HP SNAplus2 Link in a client/server environment requires
additional LAN/9000 Link software components for servers including
ARPA/Berkeley Sockets.
Running HP SNAplus2 Link using QLLC requires the X.25 software
(J2793A).
Running HP SNAplus2 Link using 802.3/Ethernet requires software for
each link type.
Optional Running xsnapadmin, the configuration and management GUI, requires
the following:
