Software Requirements
This section describes the HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G hardware and
software requirements for your HP 9000 and Integrity servers. This
product is supported on HP-UX 11i v3.
HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers Hardware
Requirements supported on HP-UX 11i v3
HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G requires the following HP 9000 hardware:
• HP 9000 servers rp(8400), rp(8420), rp(7420), rp(7410), rp(7405),
rp(4440), rp(4410), rp(3440), rp(3410), HP 9000 Superdome, and HP
Integrity servers rx(8640), rx(8620), rx(7640), rx(7620), rx(5670),
rx(4640), rx(3600), rx(6600), rx(2600), rx(2620), rx(1600), rx(1620),
cx(2600).
• 6.8 MB of disk space beyond the requirements of other applications
for servers
Running HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G in a client/server environment
requires additional LAN/9000 Link hardware components for servers
including the LAN interface card.
HP 9000 and HP Integrity Servers Software
Requirements supported on HP-UX 11i v3
HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G requires HP-UX operating systems B.11.31
with NLS dependency.
Running HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G in a client/server environment
requires the additional ARPA Services/9000 software for servers.
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link in a client/server environment requires
additional LAN/9000 Link software components for servers.
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link using QLLC requires X.25 (J2793A)
software.
Running HP SNAplus2EE Link using 802.3/Ethernet requires software
for each link type.
