Installation Requirements
SNAplus2 Product Structures
Chapter 14
— Common Programming Interface for Communications (CPI-C).
C-language or Java application programs (Java CPI-C) that use
CPI-C can exchange data in an SNA environment.
HP SNAplus2 RJE, available for servers provides the functions of
an IBM 3770 allowing communications with host Job Entry
Subsystem. It consists of the following product components:
— The RJE job spool commands
— The RJE workstation control and status commands
— The RJE console commands
— The RJE Style File Customization Program
HP SNAplus2 Enterprise Extend Netwk Node, available for
servers adds new functionalities to the HP SNAplus2 Link product.
It consists of the following functions:
— Enterprise Extender
— APPN Network Nodes
— APPN Branch Network Nodes
The term SNAplus2 Presentation Services products is sometimes
used when talking about all of the products that run over the HP
SNAplus2 Link product. These products are HP SNAplus2 3270/3179G,
HP SNAplus2 API, and HP SNAplus2 RJE.
