e. Node ID
The node ID consists of a total of 8 hexadecimal digits. The first 3 digits are
known as the block number. The remaining 5 digits are the node ID number.
The node ID is used when you are setting up a link for dependent traffic,
usually to a host. The ID you enter here must match the ID by which the node
is known within the VTAM configuration (in the case of a host).
The default value for this field is the common default 05FFFFFF, which is
often acceptable.
