HP-UX Security Attributes Configuration Release Notes Announcement Announcement The HP-UX Security Attributes Configuration product is introduced in the HP-UX 11i v2 May 2005 update release to perform the following tasks without converting the HP-UX system to the trusted mode: • Configure system-wide values of security attributes from the System Defaults tab. The configurable system-wide values are stored in the /etc/security.dsc file.

You can also launch the tool by executing the secweb(1M) command.

After the system has been ignited with all other software and applied with all required patches, install the SecConfig bundle using swinstall command.

Use the swlist command to verify that the SecConfig product was removed. The swlist command will not list SecConfig if it was removed.
