1. Open the /etc/rc.config.d/sshd file.
2. Change the entry to set start to true:

HP-UX Directory Server Setup
The following worksheet provides a list of the information you need before you set up the HP-UX
Directory Server.
Before configuring the server, refer to the HP-UX Directory Server installation guide. It provides
information about general HP-UX system requirements, including kernel parameter settings,
patches required, and file system requirements. This guide is located at:

The fully qualified domain name of the computer on which
software is being installed. The system displays the Domain
Name screen. The domain name of your system appears in
this screen. Press Enter to accept the default or enter the
correct domain name.
Domain Name (optional)
The User and Group screen identifies the user ID and group
ID of the HP-UX Directory Server. These must already exist
on the system for the directory server to operate.
User and Group
You must select a configuration server if you are adding this
server to an existing configuration server, or to specify that
the server is configured as a standalone server. Enter No to
configure a standalone server.
Configuration Server (optional)
The default configuration does not use an additional directory
server to store data. Enter No for the default.
It is common practice to select a directory suffix that
corresponds to the DNS host name used by your enterprise.
For example, if your organization uses the DNS name
example.com, then select a suffix of dc=example,dc=com.
Directory Server Data Store
(optional)
Specify a network port to be used by the directory server.
The default port number is 389 if the port is not already in
use and you are logged in as the root user. The screen
provides information about port selection if the default port
cannot be selected.
Network Port Number
A unique name is required for a directory server. The default
name is the system name taken from the DNS host name.
Unique Identifier
Do not write
password down.
An administrator name and password are required for the
directory server. A default administrator name is provided,
but requires you to enter and verify a unique password.

The directory entry that represents the first entry in a
directory tree. You need at least one directory suffix for the
tree that contains your enterprise's data. It is common practice
to select a directory suffix that corresponds to the DNS host
name used by your enterprise. For example, if your
organization uses the DNS name example.com, then select a
suffix of dc=example,dc=com. The defaults provided in this
screen are taken from the DNS host name.

tasks. You can use the defaults provided in this screen.
