The following figure provides a basic hardware environment for HP-UX OSRA components.
Figure 1-2 displays the basic hardware environment for the AMP and Tomcat components. The
basic configuration consists of multiple nodes of an Apache Web Server as the static content
server and load balancer. The key processes that occur are as follows:
• Connection of the HP-UX bundled Apache Web Server and the HP-UX bundled Apache
Tomcat Server, using the mod_jk module.
• Connection of Apache Tomcat Server to MySQL database, using a JDBC Driver.
• Use of an additional, optional OpenView Management Server to host HP OpenView
Operations (OVO) for manageability through the Apache Tomcat Server.
