industry-leading business applications, e-commerce platforms, messaging services, databases
and Internet infrastructure.

Java Virtual Machine
The Java Virtual Machine (JVM) products for HP-UX provide solutions to develop and deploy
Java applications with the best performance on the HP-UX operating system. The Java products
are also referred to as Java Standard Edition (Java SE) and Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
Security Products
The following lists the HP-UX security features that are available as part of OSRA.
HP-UX Bastille
HP-UX Bastille can ease an organization's system-hardening security and/or
regulatory-compliance activities. It provides customized lock-down, addressing most of the
recommendations from a number of popular security scanning tools and checklists. Some
of these checklists are used by security auditors.
HP-UX IPFilter
HP-UX IPFilter is a system firewall that filters IP packets to control packet flow in or out of
a machine. It works as a security defense by cutting down on the number of exposure points
on a machine.
HP-UX Secure Shell
HP-UX Secure Shell is a client/server architecture that supports the SSH-1 and SSH-2 protocols
and provides secured remote login, file transfer, and remote command execution.
OpenSSL
HP-UX OpenSSL is based on the open source product OpenSSL and offers cryptography
for applications by providing a general-purpose cryptography library and implementation
of the Secure Socket Layer and Transport Layer Security protocols.
