The HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum A.01.00.00 bundle contains a secure checksum command
(md5sum) and hashing libraries that provide a file integrity mechanism based on the standard
MD5 algorithm. The md5sum command generates 128-bit wide digests and by default runs in
multi-threaded mode, whereby input files are processed in parallel.
The HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum bundle is composed of the following two products:
• HP-UX MD5sum (md5sum checksum command)
• HP-UX LibCryptX (libcryptx libraries providing MD5 APIs)
