Installation Information
This section contains information about installing the HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum bundle.
Installing From Software Depot
Step 1. Download the depot file to the /tmp directory on the target system. The depot file
name will vary according to the system architecture type and HP-UX MD5 Secure
Checksum release number. For example,
MD5Checksum,r=A.01.01.02,a=HP-UX_B.11.11_32_64.depot and
MD5Checksum,r=A.01.01.02,a=HP-UX_B.11.23_IA_PA.depot are depot file
names.
Step 2. Verify correct download of the file using swlist. Note that swlist and swinstall
require you to specify the full path name to the source depot.
# swlist -d @ /tmp/MD5Checksum, release_name .depot
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "localhost"...
#
# Target:localhost:/tmp/MD5Checksum,
release_name .depot
#
#
# Bundle(s):
#
MD5Checksum A.01.01.02 HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum
Step 3. Run swinstall to install the product:
# swinstall -s /tmp/MD5Checksum, release_name .depot \*
Step 4. Verify that the MD5Checksum.MD5sum.MD5SUM-RUN fileset has been installed using
the following command:
# swlist -l fileset MD5Checksum.MD5sum.MD5SUM-RUN
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "localhost"...
