sendﬁle_max - maximum number of Buffer Cache Pages used by sendﬁle - OBSOLETED kernel tunable

DESCRIPTION

This tunable has been obsoleted and removed. Do not make any changes to this tunable, as it will have no

effect on the kernel. In previous releases this tunable was used to limit how the number of HP-UX buffer

cache pages the sendfile() system call could use. The sendﬁle operations no longer utilize the HP-UX

traditional buffer cache and this tunable becomes obsolete. Please refer to the ﬁle cache tunables (see

fcache_seqlimit_ﬁle(5)) to control the use of physical memory by

sendfile() and other ﬁle system opera-

tions.
