pvdisplay(1M) pvdisplay(1M)
The pvdisplay command returns 1 if any of the physical volumes specified are under LVM control; oth-
erwise it returns 0.
EXTERNAL INFLUENCES
Environment Variables
LANG determines the language in which messages are displayed.
If LANG is not specified or is null, it defaults to "C" (see lang(5)).
If any internationalization variable contains an invalid setting, all internationalization variables default to
"C" (see environ(5)).
EXAMPLES
Display the status and characteristics of a physical volume:
pvdisplay /dev/dsk/c1t0d0
Display the status, characteristics, and allocation map of a physical volume:
pvdisplay -v /dev/dsk/c2t0d0
Check whether the physical volume belongs to LVM:
pvdisplay -l /dev/dsk/c2t0d0
Check if the physical volume has relocated blocks:
pvdisplay -d /dev/dsk/c2t0d0
