NAME

setaudid - set the audit ID (aid) for the current process

SYNOPSIS

#include <sys/audit.h>

int setaudid(aid_t audid);

DESCRIPTION

setaudid() sets the audit ID (aid) for the current process. This call is restricted to the super-user.

RETURN VALUE

Upon successful completion,

setaudid() returns a value of 0; otherwise, it returns −1 and sets

errno to indicate the error.

ERRORS

setaudid() fails if any of the following conditions are encountered:

[EPERM] The caller is not a superuser.

[EINVAL]

The audit ID (audid) is invalid.
