vx_ninode(5) vx_ninode(5)
(Tunable Kernel Parameters)
NAME
vx_ninode - Determines the internal node table size
SYNOPSIS
/usr/bin/kctune -s vx_ninode={size}
VALUE
Specify an integer value.
Minimum
0
Maximum
None
Default
1024
DESCRIPTION
The VxFS file system caches the inodes in an inode table. The kernel tunable
vx_ninode determines the
number of inodes in the inode table to help VxFS in caching. The
vx_ninode static tunable is initial-
ized when system is booted. Thus the changes in the vx_ninode table will take effect only during the next
system reboot.
EXAMPLES
Change the value of vx_ninode to 1000000:
# kctune -s vx_ninode=1000000
WARNINGS
All HP-UX kernel tunable parameters are release specific. This parameter may be removed or its mean-
ing may change in the future releases of HP-UX.
