To create and populate a non-standard key-value type NIS+ table, "private", from the file
/var/nis/files/private
: (nispopulate assumes that the private.org_dir key-value type table has
already been created).
/usr/bin/nistbladm -D access=og=rmcd,nw=r \
-c private key=S,nogw= value=,nogw= private.org.dir
/usr/lib/nis/nispopulate -F -p /var/nis/files private
WARNINGS
HP-UX 11i Version 2 is the last HP-UX release on which NIS+ is supported.
LDAP is the recommended replacement for NIS+. HP fully supports the industry standard naming ser-
vices based on LDAP.
